A TOUCH OF TUSCANY

T
his tour is more than just a “vacation in Italy”.

Our desire is to introduce you to and make you fall in love with a splendid part of Tuscany full of history, culture, works of art, and culinary delights!

We plan to do so with two all inclusive packages that will teach a bit about two fascinating and fundamental periods in history, the Renaissance and the Middle age, but in a way that you have never experienced before, enticing your 5 senses!

Upon your arrival in Italy, you will be swept away to Caprese Michelangelo, an intimate corner of the beautiful tuscan region and the birthplace of the great Michelangelo Buonarroti.
You will be immersed in history, breathtaking nature and savour the mouthwatering cuisine and flowing fine wines typical of this region, the “Valtiberina” or upper part of the Tevere Valley. Located in the little village of San Polo, the rolling hills, green valley of Singerna, Montedoglio lake and chestnut forests will beg you to come and explore if you can find time during the tour that we have prepared especially for  you!!!

We will show you how important and valuable our small towns and ancient villages have been in preserving masterpieces and works of art, despite long and bitter conflicts of battles and war that ravaged this land. You will see some of the famous cities such as Florence, Arezzo and Assisi, but we shall also show you small (but not of lesser importance) and well preserved borgo in their Middle Age character such as Anghiari (where the famous battle of Anghiari was fought and subsequentially reproduced in a painting by Leonardo da Vinci) or La Verna, a very famous Francescan Sanctuary where the miracle of San Francesco is acclaimed and works of Della Robbia may be admired.

Sansepolcro, birthplace of Piero Della Francesca (a great reference for many artists of the renaissance era), here you may admire many of his frescoes.

Of course while "on tour" in these suggestive scenario, you will also experience the fine cuisine in  typical trattoria, see local traditional handcrafts, manufacturers and work-shops for restorations of fine antiques (maybe you may find "just that right piece of furniture" to ship home!).
